Back in Norway

There’s not been many updates for a while, since I came back home in September. This site has mostly been used for updates on my situation in Australia, so I haven’t really found a use for it here (yet). Maybe it’s time for a redesign?

Anyhow, I’ll try to post more often, but since I don’t have my own computer up and running at the moment (the monitor is busted), I’m stuck with my mum’s PC with a 33.6 kbps dial-up connection, which is kind of limiting for any serious work.

Meanwhile, I’m looking for IT work, which is not all that easy these days, with thousands of unemployed IT people in Oslo competing for a small selection of jobs. But I’m keeping my hopes up at the moment, though it’s not easy when there are articles in the papers every day stating that the market for IT jobs is almost dead or nonexistent. I’m slowly starting to send out applications for jobs now, and hopefully I’ll find The Dream Job™ eventually. Keep your fingers crossed.

Other than that, there’s not much to tell really. I’ve been using the time since I came back on catching up with old friends, visiting relatives and going to a couple of parties. It’s pretty nice to be back in Oslo, things haven’t changed that much, and it’s nice to see that more of my friends are moving into the city which means more places for me to crash when I need a place to sleep off a hangover … 😛
